San Antonio Scholarships

Let us assist you in sending your family to Camp! This can be achieved by using various forms of Tuition Assistance, with parents also needing to contribute to the cost of Camp. All scholarships are awarded based on financial need. Applying to multiple places and submitting applications on time typically results in receiving more and larger scholarships. Each organization has a specific amount of money to award, and as they near the end of their selection process, they have fewer dollars available to distribute.

In summary, San Antonio families apply at each of these Scholarship Sources:

  1. Apply to JCRS
  2. Apply to the Jewish Federation of San Antonio
  3. Each Congregation has its own scholarship process. Contact your congregation, rabbis, brotherhood or sisterhood president, or youth group director. Note: It's best to contact each source individually. For example, rabbis have their own discretionary funds, and congregations generally have funds reserved for Camp.
  4. Apply to the CYJ Tuition Assistance Fund
    • Agudas Achim Members will be considered for the Ross/Stern Family Philanthropic Fund Scholarship

Grants that are NOT need-based:

One Happy Camper Grant is a GREAT grant option. Your child may be eligible for a need-blind One Happy Camper® grant of up to $1,000 off their first summer at Jewish overnight camp! It is for first-time Campers (past Mini Mensch and Nitzanim are eligible). This initiative is supported by the Jewish Federation of San Antonio
