Austin Scholarships

All scholarships are awarded based on financial need. Applying to multiple places and submitting applications on-time typically results in receiving more and larger scholarships. Each organization has a specific amount of money to award, and as they near the end of their selection process, they have fewer dollars available to distribute.

In summary, Austin families apply at each of these Scholarship Sources:

1. Apply to JCRS
2. Apply to the Shalom Austin - Shalom Austin offers $1,000 need-based scholarships for qualified Greater Austin residents
3. Each Congregation has its own scholarship process. Contact your congregation, rabbis, brotherhood or sisterhood president, or youth group director. Note: It's best to contact each source individually. For example, rabbis have their own discretionary funds, and congregations generally have funds reserved for Camp.

Grants that are NOT need-based:

PJ Goes to Camp may be another grant option. If your child is an alum/na of PJ Library or has a sibling who is a member, he/she may be eligible. It is for first-time Campers (past Mini Mensch and Nitzanim are eligible)
