Donation Opportunities
There are many ways to support the camp we all love. CYJ encourages monthly gifts as well as one-time gifts. To give a secure gift online, visit our Donate Now page.
CYJ accepts gifts of cash, and non-cash assets like appreciated stock, DAF grants, and IRA Distributions which often offer donors a better tax-incentive than cash gifts. To learn more, visit our Ways To Give page. Stock Donation Form (PDF) Find your DAF here.
Many companies match employee donations dollar-for-dollar — some even double or triple the gift. Check whether your employer participates via Matching Gift and Volunteer Grant lookup tools.

1. The Annual Fund: Supports CYJ Today
Our annual fund is an important part of CYJ’s continued growth. Friends of CYJ ensures that financial circumstances do not prevent children from experiencing the transformative benefits of Jewish overnight camp. It also helps us improve programming and hire and retain the best staff summer after summer.
2. The Capital Fund: Supports CYJ Tomorrow
Capital gifts allow us to build facilities that enhance and expand our mission.
Forward Together Capital Campaign: We have less than $1M to raise to complete a new performing arts activity space, an expanded dining hall, two new cabins, a new arts center, and a new waterfront. Help us close our $13.5M campaign with a transformative gift today! Gifts can be paid monthly or annually over 5 years.
3. Endowment Funds/Create a Legacy: Supports CYJ for the Future
Establishing an endowment fund or creating a legacy helps strengthen the CYJ experience for years to come.
Buy A Paver: Celebrate your camp memories or a recent lifecycle event with a personalized paver on the Gottesman Tayelet (Promenade). Pavers build a lasting legacy while ensuring the values of friendship, leadership and Jewish identity continue to shine for years to come.
Create A Legacy: Create your legacy by designating CYJ as a beneficiary to your 401K, estate plan, will or trust, retirement plan assets, life insurance, CGA or DAF. CYJ’s Legacy Committee or Development Director, Wendy Aronson, can answer questions and get you started on this important journey. Establish a Named Endowment Fund at the Houston Jewish Community Foundation. CYJ currently benefits from 7 Named Endowment Funds which provide scholarship support to campers who might not otherwise be able to afford camp tuition. For more information, please contact Wendy Aronson 713-955-1775.
