Camp Store and Spending Money

Good news for your wallet: there's basically nothing to spend money on at CYJ.

Do you have a camp store?

Nope — no camp store. One less line item for your budget, one less "can I have $20" text mid-summer.

Does my camper need spending money?

No — with one exception: Segel trip participants. If your camper is on the Segel trip, they'll want some spending money for that portion of the summer. Everyone else, spending money isn't necessary.

What about when campers go on trips out of camp?

Meals are covered — we provide all food during off-camp trips, so no cash needed there either. Pack a bag, not a wallet.

What if my camper forgets something or runs out mid-summer?

We've got you covered. We keep basics on hand — toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and similar essentials — and can provide them as needed, charged to your camp account. No emergency Target run required.
