Who is Welcome @CYJ?

Short answer: if your kid is Jewish and the right age, there's a bunk with their name on it. We've got 26 cabins and a knack for finding room for one more.

Long answer: the only prerequisites for coming to camp are that a child is Jewish and within our age range — all other demographic considerations are irrelevant to us. We are proud of our diverse community and welcome any camper who would benefit from a summer at CYJ, including campers with disabilities.

  • We are committed to making camp a place where our connection as parts of the Jewish community is more important than our differences.

One honest note: we can't be all things to all people, and that's okay. Just like schools, there's a right camp for every kid — and it won't always be us. If you have any doubts about whether CYJ is the right fit for your camper, reach out and talk it through with us. Our goal isn't to fill bunks; it's to make sure every kid ends up at the camp that's actually right for them.
